I don’t want to make a direct parallel with a tool I like a lot – iFolder – but it offers more or less the same functionality : a remote storage of files available everywhere. It means that wherever you are, your files will be available from the computer you are using. It also offers a good alternative to USB keys for the transfers of files from one computer to the other opening the door to the versionning hell….

One of the main difference between iFolder and Skydrive is that the last one is only accessible through a web browser. At least, as far as I know, there is no desktop client.
Skydrive offers 1GB of storage and allows you to share folders and files with your friends or everyone. It also provides you a unique URL to access your file directly when you upload a file.

I guess it is just a beginning, because Skydrive is still in Beta, so….let see.

What I find really nice is to have some files everywhere.
